About
Royal Canadian Legion #643 Amalgamation
On March 11, members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #3 and Branch #210 invited friends and family to celebrate the amalgamation of both branches to create the new Branch #643, named after Flt. Lt. David Hornell, VC.
This was a special celebration where both branches united their strengths and ideas in order to make service to their members even better.
Dignitaries of the Ontario Command were present at the event. Brian Weaver, President of the Ontario Command, and Donna Sampson, Chairman of the Amalgamation Committee, introduced the official documents from Ottawa that decreed the new RCL Branch #643. Debbie Olmstead, 1st Vice Ontario Commander for the Ladies Auxiliary; Doreene Corstorphine, Ladies Auxiliary Zone Commander D-1; and Helene Simpson, Ladies Auxiliary Past President of Branch #3, also displayed the document on behalf of the Ladies Auxiliary. After the presentation, everyone was invited to the dance floor to enjoy the party!
